Position: Respiratory Therapist

Salary Range: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour

Shift: Night Shift, 35 hours per week, 3/12 hour shifts with every other weekend

Facility: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Facility - 101 beds

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at our LTAC facility. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide specialized care to patients with respiratory illnesses and disorders, utilizing your knowledge and expertise in respiratory therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians

- Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and response to treatments

- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management

- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans

- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation

- Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy

- Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist

- BLS and ACLS certifications

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy

- Experience in a LTAC facility is preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
