Position: Occupational Therapy Assistant 

Salary Range: $31-$34 per hour

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation

Location: Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a P-Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to our residents. You will play a crucial role in helping our residents regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating and developing treatment plans for residents

- Implement treatment plans by providing therapeutic exercises, activities, and techniques

- Monitor and document resident progress and communicate with the Occupational Therapist

- Educate residents and their families on techniques and strategies for improving daily living skills

- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for residents

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records and documentation

- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and facility policies and procedures

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program

- Current state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
