Position: Director of Rehab

Salary Range: $45-60/hour

Work Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (no weekend rotation)

Facility: 120-bed skilled nursing facility

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Rehab to lead our rehabilitation team at our 120-bed skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, as well as previous leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the rehabilitation department, including scheduling, staffing, and budgeting.

- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients.

- Provide guidance and support to therapy staff, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for therapy staff.

- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.

- Monitor and maintain the quality of care provided by the rehabilitation team, and make necessary improvements as needed.

- Communicate regularly with patients, families, and caregivers to address any concerns or questions related to therapy services.

- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop individualized care plans.

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in rehabilitation therapy, and implement new techniques and technologies as appropriate.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy.

- Current state license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in rehabilitation therapy, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

- Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and guidelines.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

- Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
