Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days – 5x8s (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,129.55
Position Overview
We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a Home Health assignment in the San Jose, California area. The PTA will provide in-home therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, delivering care in accordance with approved treatment plans and patient-specific goals.
This role requires strong independence, organization, and the ability to manage a home health caseload throughout the South Bay region.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans in patients homes
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising PT
- Document all patient interactions and treatment progress accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques
- Maintain compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations
Required Qualifications
- Active California PTA License (in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of PTA experience – REQUIRED
- Home Health experience – REQUIRED
- BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross required)
- Ability to meet 50-mile travel requirement
